New friends

We have found several "new friends" lately on our playground! We caught a few to enjoy and observe for a short while. We found a snail, caterpillar and a Praying Mantis!

Happy Birthday, Hallie!

We had a good time celebrating our friend, Hallie's birthday today! Our Montessori birthday celebrations are a very special event for each child. I enjoying learning new things about each friend during these celebrations. We wish you a very happy birthday, Hallie!

First day of School!

We had a very successful first day of school! We started off our morning group with reading "First Day Jitters" and getting all of our own jitters out by drinking "jitter juice."

We finished our afternoon with a few fun group photos!

Into the Woods Jr.

We had the privilege of being able to take a second field trip this week to Jonesboro High School to see VPA's production of Into the Woods Jr. We enjoyed seeing past Montessori School friends on stage.

Nutcracker 2018

We were so grateful to be able to see the Nutcracker this year even with snow on the ground. Here are the kindergarteners loving on our favorite panda from the show. 

Thanksgiving 2018

We had a very special Thanksgiving this year, Mrs. Way visited the kindergarten class. She had visited Plymouth, Massachusetts and brought back things to share with the class, including reading a book, little pilgrim people and a tiny house. She also made a special snack with foods that the pilgrims and Indians ate on their first Thanksgiving. We were very thankful she came to visit us!
