Each month for the remainder of the school year we learn about a different artist, look at their lives, their artwork and create some of our own art inspired by that particular artist.
For the month of September we have started to learn about Wassily Kandinsky. Born in Russia he was one of the first recognized abstract artists who loved using bright colors. Using Kandinsky's painting, Squares with Concentric Circles (as seen here) we created our own "Kandisnky circles" which will be completed and on display during open house in October.
