What do Scientists do?

We learned about the scientific method and did an experiment. We all made a prediction (hypothesis)  on what we thought would happen if we soaked an egg in vinegar....then we watched it for 1 day. Guess what! the shell dissolved and we got to bounce it on the table! BTW, no one guessed right:(

Lunch guest

Nick's dad came for lunch!

The day we finished testing....

After we finished testing, we read one of my favorite books: The Boy Who Changed the World. It explains the "butterfly effect". Great story for encouraging kids to realize that they are an important part of our world...even at 5 and 6!
Then, we played outside....

 and ate yummy snacks!!

Then, we had some visitors...the ASU Girls Soccer Team came by to play with us on the playground. It was so fun!

Show and Tell Eggs

The assignment: fill your egg with your show and tell.
The rules: must fit in your egg and you cant tell anyone!
The result: a fun group time trying to guess what was in the eggs:)

Eggs full of sound

We took these 12 eggs that were filled with: marshmellos, rice, beans, toothpicks, thread, cotton, dice, paper clips, key, marbles, pennies and macaroni.
We shook the eggs and then had to guess what we thought was in the eggs.
We had a blast and laughed when we realized we were wrong!

Will it Blow?

 We took these items and
 this fan
and watched to see what would blow in the wind!  We enjoyed our weather unit!

Easter Story

Mrs. Way always reads a special Easter story to the kindergarten class. It is called "The Country Bunny and the Golden Shoes". And, she brings her special bunnies for us to look at. Thank you Mrs. Way!
