Recently, our class read a book called The Button Box by Margarette Reid. It is a wonderful story about a child who loves to play with his grandmother's button collection. He sorts them using several different ways. We used our school's button collection and sorted buttons. Some chose to sort by colors, some by the # of button holes and if they were shank buttons. (I did have other pictures but "someone" played in my purse at the ASU game Saturday and accidentally deleted some pictures!) Sorry:)
