Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

We learned about Martin Luther King, Jr. last Monday. First we did an experiment with 1 brown egg and 1 white egg. We voted on what we thought the insides would look like. Some said white and yellow, some said brown and yellow and one even said pink:) gotta love 5 year olds!) After opening them we discovered that it doesn't matter what color you are on the outside because we are all the same on the inside! Then, we made pictures of Mr. King. They turned out really good!

A Visitor

We had a visitor today! Jayden Hughes came with her grandmother, Gwyn Hughes, to read some books to us. It was really cool to hear all about 1st grade! Thank you, Jayden!!

Snow Day

Watercolor snowflakes! We made these last week in hope that we would have a snow day. I wish we would have heard last week about the secret to make it snow: wear your pjs inside out, lick a spoon and put it under your pillow and flush 2 ice cubes! Guess it worked since other kids did it and it did snow!!!!!
