Earth Day

For Earth Day we spent several days talking about recycling, keeping our Earth healthy and how to protect animals. One activity we focused on recycling tires. We watched a short video on how tires are recycles and what things can be made into recycled tires. We discovered recycled tires are sometimes turned into roads! So we took our own tires (Cheerios), recycled them (crushed them), and added a few special ingredients and turned our recycled tires into roads.

ASU Petting Zoo

We had a wonderful time at the ASU petting zoo! The hayride was tons of fun and we spent lots of time petting some pretty cool animals! We finished our field trip with lunch at Chick-Fil-A on ASU's campus.

Edward Tulane

Mrs. Way visited us again to read The Miraculous Adventures of Edward Tulane.   This is a wonderful book and the kindergarteners enjoyed his many adventures! We finished our days of reading with a special, sweet treat!

Our Special Guest

We had the privilege to listen to a wonderful story from Mrs. Way this week! She read The Country Bunny and the Golden Shoes to the kindergarten class. We were so excited to have her in our room. Thank you for coming to read to us and sharing your special bunnies, Mrs. Way!
